Skilled workers Manitoba

The Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SWM) pathway recommends applicants who have a strong connection to our province through ongoing employment and enough knowledge of official languages, as well as the skills needed, education, and training, work experience, and job experiences, to immediately and sustainably contribute to the Manitoba economy and community as a whole.

Manitoba International Education Stream

The International Education Stream (IES) for Manitoba graduates is designed to provide international students who graduate in Manitoba with faster pathways to nomination even while meeting the requirements of the industry.

There are three pathways:

  • Career Employment Pathway
  • Graduate Internship Pathway
  • International Student Entrepreneur Pilot (ISEP)

Skilled Workers Overseas

An invitation to apply received directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative identifies applicants for the Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) pathway if they’re able to demonstrate an established connection to Manitoba through the support of family or friends, prior education, or employment in the province, or support from family or friends.
