Manitoba issued new invitations under the MPNP occupation-specific EOI draw on March 9, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In round #171, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection (sales and service support occupations) under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream and invited 224 applicants who scored 612 points and more.
Manitoba also issued 277 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 675 points, 18 points fewer than the previous draw. In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 43 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
The lowest score in the SWO category was 666 points, 55 points fewer than in the previous draw. In addition, 53 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream. Manitoba has issued LAAs to 597 candidates, including 45 Express Entry candidates for this round.
In 2023, MPNP invited 2,180 candidates, and 277 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.

- 65210 – Support occupations in accommodation, travel, and facilities set-up services
- 65211 – Operators and attendants in amusement, recreation, and sport
- 65220 – Pet groomers and animal care workers
- 65229 – Other support occupations in personal services
- 65310 – Light duty cleaners
- 65311 – Specialized cleaners
- 65312 – Janitors, caretakers, and heavy-duty cleaners

The Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SWM) pathway recommends applicants who have a strong connection to our province through ongoing employment and enough knowledge of official languages, as well as the skills needed, education, and training, work experience, and job experiences, to immediately and sustainably contribute to the Manitoba economy and community as a whole.
Manitoba International Education Stream
The International Education Stream (IES) for Manitoba graduates is designed to provide international students who graduate in Manitoba with faster pathways to nomination even while meeting the requirements of the industry.
There are three pathways:
- Career Employment Pathway
- Graduate Internship Pathway
- International Student Entrepreneur Pilot (ISEP)
Skilled Workers Overseas
An invitation to apply received directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative identifies applicants for the Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) pathway if they’re able to demonstrate an established connection to Manitoba through the support of family or friends, prior education, or employment in the province, or support from family or friends.
