MPNP Skilled Workers in Manitoba

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) administered by the province of Manitoba, is a collection of immigration streams known as Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM). Three immigration streams that are part of Manitoba’s “Skilled Workers” program are targeted at foreign nationals who already have work experience or a job offer there and who have the skills and training needed to succeed in the province’s labor force.

MPNP Skilled Workers Overseas

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) run by the province of Manitoba, comprises a number of immigration streams and is recognized as Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO).

The Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) pathway suggests applicants who can demonstrate they have a solid connection to Manitoba:

  • through Manitoba-based friends or family members.
  • through any prior employment or education in the province of Manitoba; or
  • through a direct application invite from the Manitoba PNP as a part of the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

MPNP International Education Stream

The mission of the Manitoba International Education Stream is to support international graduates who want to stay in Manitoba as permanent residents. The International Education Stream (IES) for Manitoba graduates aims to give international students who graduate in Manitoba faster pathways to nomination while also meeting the requirements of the industry.

There are three routes to take:

  • Career Employment Pathway
  • Graduate Internship Pathway
  • International Student Entrepreneur Pilot (ISEP)
