Canada Express Entry draw

On December 19, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the second occupation-specific Canada Express Entry draw and issued 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates working in one of the skilled trades occupations.

In round #276, the cut-off score was 425, 37 points more than the previous draw for this category-based selection.

The tie-breaking rule for this round was November 04, 2023, at 11:16:58 UTC.

As of December 17, 2023, there were 208,638 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. This year, Canada issued 109,196 ITAs through the Express Entry draws.

Important Factors considered for express entry candidates

Factors considered for express entry candidates included ITAs by program, province, score, age, and occupation. Most successful were Canadian Experience Class applicants in their 20s, often software engineers planning to live in Ontario. By program, 45% of ITAs went to the CEC, 30% to FSWP, and 26% to the PNP. Almost half of all ITA recipients planned to reside in Ontario, followed by British Columbia, Alberta, and Nova Scotia. Click here to read the complete details.

This year, Canada has held the following Express entry draws:
