British Columbia issued 173 invitations in the new BC PNP draws
On December 20, 2022, British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).
- In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 153 invitations with a minimum score of 90 points.
- In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 4214), the province invited 15 candidates.
- A further 5 invitations were issued to skilled workers,
- international graduates, and entry-level and semi-skilled workers scoring at least 60 points.
In total, the province invited up to 173 candidates in the new BC PNP draws. In 2022, British Columbia has already issued 9,018 invitations

- On December 6, 2022, the Government of British Columbia held new BC PNP draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) and invited up to 193 qualified Skills Immigration candidates and Tech workers.

- On December 13, 2022, British Columbia held new BC PNP draws for business candidates. In the Base Category of the Entrepreneur Stream, BC PNP invited up to five candidates. The lowest score of this round was 116 points, 4 points fewer than the previous draw. In addition, the province invited fewer than 5 candidates in the Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot category with a minimum score of 134.
Skilled Worker Category BC PNP
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) run by the province of British Columbia, has a variety of immigration programs, including the British Columbia Skilled Worker program. Immigration candidates who have a job offer and a high likelihood of being incorporated into the BC labor force are prioritized as BC Skilled Workers.
Applicants who have been successfully nominated through the BC Skilled Worker program will be invited to submit an official application for Canadian permanent residence. For this stream, applicants are not required to have an Express Entry profile. To apply to the stream through Express Entry for fast processing, candidates must meet the eligibility requirements and must have an active Express Entry profile. The BC Tech Pilot may be able to offer quick processing and other benefits to applicants with experience in specific tech-related occupations.
To qualify for this stream, you must:
- Must have accepted a full-time, indeterminate employment offer from a B.C. employer (the offer can just be temporary or have a specified end date) in order to be eligible for this stream. The job must be in a skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3)
- be prepared to carry out the job’s duties.
- have at least two years of full-time work experience (or work experience equivalent to full-time) in any skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3).
- show your capability to care for yourself and your dependents.
- hold legal immigration status in Canada, or be eligible to do so.
- Meet the minimum language requirements for NOC TEER 2 or 3 occupations.
