On June 1, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In EOI Draw #181, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream.
The Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream invited 262 applicants who scored 607 points and above. Manitoba also issued 240 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 669 points, 32 points fewer than the previous draw.
In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 31 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 801 points, 80 points more than in the previous draw.
In addition, 56 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream. Manitoba has issued LAAs to 589 candidates, including 214 Express Entry candidates for this round.
In 2023, MPNP invited 6,122 candidates, and 1,594 of them received invitations to the Express Entry
The following National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 classifications were taken into account when conducting this draw:
- 11 – Professional occupations in finance and business
- 13 – Administrative occupations and transportation logistics occupations
- 21 – Professional occupations in natural and applied sciences
- 42 – Front-line public protection services and paraprofessional occupations in legal, social, community, and education services
- 44 – Care providers and legal and public protection support occupations
