On May 18, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), with 526 LAAs issued in the EOI Draw Manitoba #179. The MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 287 applicants who scored 610 points and above.
Manitoba also issued 191 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 701 points, 51 points more than the previous draw.
In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 27 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 721 points, 22 points more than in the previous draw.
In addition, 21 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream. Manitoba has issued LAAs to 526 candidates, including 225 Express Entry candidates for this round.
In 2023, MPNP invited 5,504 candidates, and 1,380 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.
