Manitoba issued a record number of invitations in the Latest MPNP Draw On December 30, 2022, Manitoba held the Latest MPNP Draw in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In round #163, the MPNP issued 202 LAAs in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream.
The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 750 points, 21 points fewer than the previous draw. In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, Manitoba issued 40 LAAs. The lowest score in the SWO category was 711 points, 8 points more than in round #162. In addition, Manitoba invited 38 candidates in the International Education Stream. Manitoba has issued LAAs to 280 candidates, including 21 Express Entry candidates for this round. In 2022 MPNP invited 7,651 candidates, and 1,964 received invitations in the Express Entry.

Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream
The Skilled Worker categories use an “Expression of Interest” system, in which qualified applicants answer a series of questions and are given a score according to their responses. The candidates who received the top scores might be asked to apply to the MPNP. There is no deadline or limit on the number of applicants who can submit an expression of interest.
Skilled Workers Overseas stream
The Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO) pathway considers candidates who can demonstrate a strong connection to Manitoba by:
- The support of friends or family;
- a prior education or work experience inside the province; or
- an invitation to apply that was sent directly from the MPNP as a part of a strategic recruitment initiative.
Manitoba International Education Stream
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) administered by the government of Manitoba, has three pathways. These pathways are part of the Manitoba International Education Stream (IES). The province of Manitoba’s International Education Stream aims to attract international students who have just graduated from a post-secondary institution there.
The following streams are part of the Manitoba International Education program:
- Manitoba Career Employment Pathway
- Manitoba Graduate Internship Pathway
- Manitoba Student Entrepreneur Pathway
A valid provincial nomination from Manitoba will be granted to applicants who are selected through this Manitoba stream. Candidates are eligible to apply for Canadian permanent resident status after getting a provincial nomination.
