Application volumes and processing

You can determine the duration that it takes AAIP to process a whole application for each AAIP stream or pathway by examining average processing times, dates, and application volumes. The following lists the approximate volumes, processing times, and assessment dates for each AAIP stream or pathway.

The following are the main factors that are considered when processing AAIP applications:

  • application quality (completeness, eligibility, outdated information or documents)
  • applications received in volume
  • the day the application was submitted
  • strategic priorities determined by data on the labor market and economic growth
  • how many nomination certificates are still valid for the year
