The new 2022‒2024 Immigration Levels Plan will allow more international students to immigrate to Canada

How many immigrants does Canada admit per year? Well, In the new 2022‒2024 Immigration Levels Plan, Canada is planning or aiming to welcome more than 1.3 million new permanent residents. These high immigration targets were announced by Immigration Minister Sean Fraser through the Canada Immigration Levels Plan for 2022-2024. Here the Students will immigrate to Canada under the Federal Skilled Worker Program.

According to the 2022‒2024 Immigration Levels Plan, Canada is planning to accept the highest targets in the history of immigration in Canada. One of the largest increases will be in the Federal High Skilled category, which accommodates the applications of international graduates of Canadian institutions. The Canadian Government will increase the number of applications in this category from 55,900 in 2022 to 111,500 in 2024.

Canada currently accepts international students under the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class. However, starting in 2024, the number of applicants accepted under these programs will be increased at least twice.
