On July 4, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the year’s first Skilled Trades Express Entry draw of 2024, targeting candidates working in skilled trades occupations. Highlights of the Skilled Trades Express Entry Draw of 2024

  • Number of Invitations Issued: IRCC issued 1,800 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in this draw.
  • Round Number: This was round #300 of the Express Entry draws.
  • Cut-off Score: The cut-off score for this draw was 436, which is 11 points higher than the previous draw for this category-based selection.
  • Tie-breaking Rule: The tie-breaking rule was set for July 16, 2023, at 15:44:59 UTC.

As of July 2, 2024, there were 222,547 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. This pool is continuously updated, and candidates are ranked based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores.

In 2024, Canada has been proactive in inviting skilled workers through the Express Entry system. So far, a total of 46,174 ITAs have been issued across 22 draws.
