PEI held a new draw and invited 46 skilled candidates on March 30, 2023, Prince Edward Island conducted a new invitation round in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams and invited 113 candidates under the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).
The PEI PNP issued a total of 1,854 invitations in 2022. This year, PEI invited 754 candidates, including 735 under the Labour Impact and Express Entry categories and 19 business candidates. The province admits the most immigrants per capita of any province in Canada. According to the schedule, the next PEI PNP draw will occur on April 20, 2023.

The next draw is expected to take place on April 20, 2023, under the PEI anticipated schedule. Moreover, PEI has issued a request to 754 immigration candidates to apply for the total provincial nominee programs listed in the prior table for the year 2023.

PEI Labour Impact Category
Under the PEI PNP’s Labour Impact Category, there are three (3) streams:
- Critical Worker Stream
- Skilled Worker Stream (In or Outside of PEI)
- International Graduate Stream
PEI Express Entry streams
The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Program (PEI PNP) Express Entry stream does not require candidates to have a job offer from a PEI employer at the time of submitting their Expression of Interest, in contrast to many other Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) streams aligned with Express Entry.
Applicants get provincial nomination depending on whether their qualifications and work history meet PEI’s labor needs, and this nomination can significantly improve a candidate’s chances of being invited to submit an Express Entry application for permanent residency.
