In addition, Manitoba invited 46 candidates in the International Education Stream. In total, in these draws, Manitoba has issued LAAs to 1,279 candidates, including 692 Express Entry candidates. MPNP has invited 7,355 candidates in 2022, and 1,943 received invitations in the Express Entry.

Overview of the Manitoba PNP

The first PNP in Canada was the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In 1998, it was changed into a permanent immigration scheme. Based on the province’s economic and labor market needs, the program was started to aid in the development of its economy through immigration. The MPNP received 418 new immigrants in its first year. Today, the province uses the program to nominate more than 5,000 new immigrants each year. The MPNP has had huge success in Manitoba. In fact, without it, Manitoba’s GDP could have dropped by as much as 30%.

Also popular with newcomers in Manitoba. Being able to immigrate through the MPNP is much easier if you have friends or family in Manitoba. Additionally, more than 90% of provincial nominees find employment in their first year. The province has a high retention rate, with approximately 90% choosing to remain there.

If they meet the criteria, anyone living outside of Canada can submit an application. Candidates may also show interest in Manitoba if they have an active Express Entry profile.

Candidates must prove an established connection to Manitoba in order to apply under this category by:

  • the support of friends or family.
  • prior education or employment in the province.
  • a direct Invitation to Apply from the MPNP as a part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative

In addition, you need to earn at least 60 points from the five selection criteria.

Manitoba Skilled Workers in Manitoba

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) run by the province of Manitoba, is a collection of immigration streams known as Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM). Three immigration streams under the title of “Skilled Workers in Manitoba” are targeted at foreign nationals who already have work experience or a job offer in Manitoba and who have the skills and training required to succeed in the Manitoba labor force.

Successful candidates will get an official provincial nomination from Manitoba if they qualified through the stream for skilled workers in Manitoba. Candidates become eligible to apply for Canadian permanent resident status after receiving a provincial nomination.

The fact that a candidate meets the minimum eligibility requirements does not ensure success. The MPNP Ranking System will be used to analyze all candidates, and only the most competitive individuals will be invited to submit applications.

Manitoba International Education Stream

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) administered by the government of Manitoba, has three pathways. These pathways are part of the Manitoba International Education Stream (IES). The province of Manitoba’s International Education Stream aims to attract international students who have just graduated from a post-secondary institution there.

The following streams are part of the Manitoba International Education program:

  • Manitoba Career Employment Pathway
  • Manitoba Graduate Internship Pathway
  • Manitoba Student Entrepreneur Pathway

Successful candidates in this Manitoba stream will get an official provincial nomination from Manitoba. Those who receive a provincial nomination are then qualified to apply for Canadian permanent resident status.
