Prince Edward Island conducted a new invitation round in the Latest Prince Edward Island PNP Draw. In this round of invitations, the province issued 97 invitations to apply to candidates under the Critical Worker Stream working for a PEI Employer and having the EOI score 50 points and more.
PEI also invited nine candidates to the Business Work Permit Entrepreneurs stream. The lowest score for business candidates was 80 points, two points fewer than in the June draw. This year, PEI invited 1,639 candidates. According to the schedule, the next PEI PNP draw will occur on August 3, 2023.

PEI critical worker stream
Foreign workers may be eligible to apply for the PEI Critical Worker stream of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) if they have at least two years of relevant experience in semi-skilled and unskilled occupations.
What are the requirements for PEI critical worker stream?
For the PEI Critical Worker Stream, you must meet the following requirements:
- have a job offer for a full-time, non-seasonal (i.e., permanent or for at least two years) intermediate skilled position from a PEI firm, which is designated as a TEER category 4 or 5 position (link is external)
- have worked a minimum of six months full-time for the PEI employer;
- have a valid work permit and legal status in Canada;
- having a secondary school diploma as a minimum education;
- must be a person between the ages of 18 and 59
- have completed relevant education or have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience within the last five years
- offer a language test with a minimum CLB/NCLC 4 score from an IRCC-approved testing center that was taken within the last two years;
- have sufficient funds to cover all immigration-related charges (including travel costs) for you and your family to be able to settle in PEI; and
- Demonstrate a genuine desire to settle in PEI.
