Newfoundland and Labrador employers recruit foreign workers through virtual fairs

September 16, 2023

virtual fairs

Newfoundland and Labrador employers recruit foreign workers through virtual fairs to address labor shortages. Employers interested in hiring outside Canada should register for upcoming virtual immigration fares from September 20, 2023, to March 27, 2024, starting with East and Southeast Asia and Oceania regions.

In the first seven months of this year, Newfoundland experienced a 109.5% increase in immigration compared to the same period in 2022, with 3,540 new permanent residents. This makes it the fastest-growing province for immigration during this time.

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), saw a rise of 351.6% in the number of new permanent residents in the first seven months of this year, or 1,850 more newcomers to the province during that period than for the comparable one last year, has been the biggest change for immigration on the Rock.

Newfoundland and Labrador employers virtual fairs

Employers from Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas can attend a number of virtual immigration fairs that are being hosted by the government of Newfoundland and Labrador. Between September 20, 2023, and March 27, 2024, the fairs will take place.  The fairs are made to assist employers in making contacts with foreign applicants interested in working in Newfoundland and Labrador. Employers will be given the chance to:

  • Learn about the different immigration programs available to them
  • Meet with international candidates
  • Review resumes and conduct interviews
  • Learn about the cost of living, lifestyle, jobs, and salaries in Newfoundland and Labrador.

If you are a candidate seeking for a career in Canada or an employer looking to hire foreign talent, Gunness & Associates can help. Fill out the form for assessment from an experienced and licensed immigration consultant.

Health care, early childhood education, technology, hospitality, and other high-demand sectors in Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) will be the main topics of the fairs.

The virtual immigration fairs will be held on the dates and hours listed below:
