OINP held two draws under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream

Employer Job Offer

The Government of Ontario continues to open its doors to skilled professionals from around the world through the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream (EJO FW) of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). In its latest round of draws on April 23, 2024, the province targeted specific occupations and extended invitations to eligible candidates.

During the recent draws, Ontario issued a total of 209 invitations to apply (ITAs) for skilled trades occupations. Additionally, two ITAs were allocated for candidates under the Economic Mobility Pathways Project. This strategic approach reflects the province’s commitment to addressing specific labor market needs while fostering economic growth and diversity.

For skilled trades candidates, the minimum score required to receive an invitation was 53. It’s noteworthy that all invitees had created profiles within the designated period spanning from April 23, 2023, to April 23, 2024. This timeline underscores the province’s focus on engaging with recent applicants, ensuring a streamlined and efficient selection process.

This figure highlights the province’s proactive approach to immigration and talent acquisition, as it seeks to attract skilled individuals who can contribute to Ontario’s economy and communities.

The inclusion of ITAs for candidates under the Economic Mobility Pathways Project underscores Ontario’s commitment to promoting upward mobility and inclusivity. By providing opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds, the province aims to create a more equitable and prosperous society for all residents.

Ontario’s latest draws under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream reflect the province’s ongoing efforts to attract talent and address specific labor market needs. With targeted invitations to skilled trades occupations and candidates under the Economic Mobility Pathways Project, Ontario reaffirms its position as a welcoming destination for skilled professionals seeking new opportunities. As the OINP continues to evolve, it remains committed to building a dynamic and diverse workforce that drives economic growth and innovation across the province.

What is the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)?

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is the provincial economic immigration program. It collaborates with the Government of Canada through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Foreign workers, international students, and others with the necessary skills, experience, and education can apply to the OINP for a nomination.

The OINP recognizes and nominates people for permanent residence who have the skills and experience that the Ontario economy requires, and the Government of Canada makes the final decision on whether to approve applications for permanent residence.
