In round #297, IRCC issued 3,000 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates within the Canadian Experience Class. The cut-off score for this draw was set at 522 points. Additionally, the tie-breaking rule for this round was determined to be March 19, 2024, at 18:58:58 UTC. This means that candidates who had submitted their profiles before this specific date and time and had scores of 522 points or higher received an ITA.

As of May 29, 2024, there were 224,404 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. This extensive pool of candidates underscores the competitive nature of Canada’s immigration system, particularly for those aspiring to secure permanent residency through the Express Entry program.

In 2024, Canada has been proactive in inviting skilled individuals to contribute to its economy and society. So far, 41,955 invitations have been issued through various Express Entry draws. This reflects Canada’s ongoing commitment to attracting skilled workers to meet labor market needs and support economic growth.

The May 31 draw is particularly noteworthy as it highlights IRCC’s focus on candidates with significant Canadian work experience. By issuing 3,000 ITAs specifically to CEC candidates, Canada is recognizing the value of individuals who have already demonstrated their ability to thrive in the Canadian labor market.
