On May 22, 2024, the Government of British Columbia Invites Skilled Professionals under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). These draws are part of the province’s ongoing efforts to attract skilled professionals across various sectors. The recent draws issued invitations to candidates in tech, healthcare, childcare, construction, and veterinary care occupations.

Tech Draw Highlights

In the tech-specific draw, British Columbia invited 50 candidates, setting the minimum score for invitations at 122 points. This draw continues to demonstrate the province’s commitment to bolstering its tech industry by attracting highly skilled professionals.

Childcare Sector Invitations

The childcare-targeted draw focused on early childhood educators (NOC 42202), inviting five candidates with a minimum score of 93 points. This initiative aims to support the province’s growing need for qualified childcare professionals.

Healthcare and Construction Sector Draws

The healthcare-targeted draw saw ten invitations issued to candidates with a minimum score of 100 points, reflecting the province’s dedication to enhancing its healthcare workforce. In the construction sector, nine candidates received invitations, further supporting British Columbia’s infrastructure development.

Veterinary Care Sector

Additionally, up to five invitations were issued to candidates working in veterinary care occupations. This draw highlights the province’s efforts to address the demand for veterinary professionals.

Overall Invitations and Yearly Totals

In total, British Columbia issued up to 79 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in this draw. With these latest invitations, the province has now invited up to 3,176 candidates in 2024 alone, showcasing its proactive approach to attracting skilled professionals to support its economic growth and sectoral needs.
