On June 8, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 4,800 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under Express Entry draw round 250. In this draw, IRCC continued inviting candidates under all immigration programs.
In round #250, the cut-off score was 486 points, two points fewer than in the previous all-program draw. The tie-breaking rule for this round was May 19, 2023, at 14:04:00 UTC.
As of June 8, 2023, there are 222,166 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool, 4,676 fewer than in the previous update. In 2023, Canada issued 54,748 ITAs through fourteen Express Entry draws.
Overview of the Latest Express Entry draw round #250
The IRCC issued 4,800 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian PR visas in this latest Express entry draw #250 to applicants who received a CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score of 486 points or above across all categories. In this particular draw, there is exactly the same number of ITAs, however, the CRS score fell slightly by two points, from 488 to 486. In the first half of this year, the IRCC sent out more than 50,000 invitations, which provides hope for those seeking permanent residency in Canada.

This round of invites was open to applicants from all programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker Programme (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Programme (FSTP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP).
Express Entry Category Base Selection
Candidates who are eligible for a certain category assigned by the Minister to accomplish a specific economic seek are invited in category-based rounds of invites. Candidates are asked to submit an application for permanent residency based on criteria like:
- communication skills in a specific official language.
- a specific Training, Education, Experience, work experience and

- Language proficiency in French
- healthcare professions
- Jobs in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and math)
- trade occupations
- jobs in transport
- Careers in agriculture and agri-food
