On July 15, 2022, Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) released the results of the new draw under the Entrepreneur Stream. In this draw, the province invited 33 business candidates. The minimum score of this round was 146, six points fewer compared to the March 3 draw.
The OINP noted that those whose Expressions of Interest were scored by July 8, 2022, were eligible for this draw. This year, the Government of Ontario invited 54 business candidates to apply for the provincial nomination.

What is OINP Entrepreneur Stream
The OINP means Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program which is the province’s economic immigration program. It works in partnership with the Government of Canada through IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada).
The Entrepreneur Stream is an immigration stream under the OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program). It is established under the Ontario Immigration Act, 2015, and its regulations. For your application to be approved you must follow the process and meet the criteria established under the regulations.

Who can Apply for this Stream?
You can apply for this stream if you are an entrepreneur who is a foreign national and interested in starting a new business or buying an existing business in Ontario. It is a pathway for entrepreneurs to become permanent residents once their business has been established in Ontario.

- Personal investment funds and minimum equity
- Active involvement
- Capital investment purpose
- Job creation
- Additional requirements if purchasing an existing business
- Canadian and Ontario legal requirements
- Permanent business
- Business premises in Ontario
- Qualifying third-party investors
