In new draw under the OINP Human Capital Priorities Stream1,240 NOIs issued

the OINP Human Capital Priorities Stream

On July 18, 2024, Ontario took a significant step in addressing the province’s healthcare needs by conducting a new draw under the OINP Human Capital Priorities Stream. This OINP Human Capital Priorities Stream draw targeted healthcare professionals, a vital segment crucial to Ontario’s well-being and growth.

A Focus on Healthcare Professionals

In this latest draw, the OINP issued 1,240 targeted Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to healthcare professionals who possess work experience in 43 National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes. This targeted approach ensures that Ontario attracts skilled individuals who can contribute immediately to the healthcare system.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Invited candidates had Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Express Entry scores ranging between 425 and 444 points. This scoring range indicates a highly competitive selection process, reflecting the province’s commitment to maintaining high standards while addressing its healthcare needs.

OINP’s Commitment to Immigration

This draw is part of OINP’s broader strategy to attract skilled workers across various sectors. Last year, Ontario demonstrated its dedication by inviting 17,502 candidates through fourteen draws under the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream. This steady influx of skilled immigrants has been pivotal in supporting the province’s economic and social infrastructure.

Ontario’s Expanding Invitation Quota

In 2024, Ontario has ramped up its efforts significantly, issuing 32,325 invitations across all streams of the OINP. This increase underscores the province’s proactive stance in meeting its labor market needs and supporting economic growth through strategic immigration.

Why Choose Ontario?

Ontario is a thriving province with a diverse economy and a high standard of living. For healthcare professionals, the province offers not only job opportunities but also a supportive community, advanced medical facilities, and professional growth prospects. By targeting healthcare professionals, Ontario ensures that its residents receive top-notch medical care, while immigrants get a chance to build fulfilling careers in a welcoming environment.

The recent draw under the Human Capital Priorities Stream highlights Ontario’s ongoing efforts to attract skilled healthcare professionals to meet its growing needs. By issuing targeted NOIs and maintaining a competitive CRS score range, Ontario reaffirms its commitment to quality and strategic growth through immigration. If you are a healthcare professional considering a move, Ontario might just be the perfect destination for your skills and aspirations.
