Ontario held new draws under the Master’s Graduate and PhD Graduate streams

PhD Graduate streams

Ontario continues to open doors for skilled immigrants with its latest draws under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Ontario extended invitations to 110 candidates under the PhD Graduate Streams in a separate draw. Concurrently On July 9, 2024, the province also issued a total of 1,556 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in a general draw for the Master’s Graduate stream, marking a significant opportunity for eligible candidates.

Details of the New Draws

In the recent Master’s Graduate stream draw, applicants with a minimum score of 54 points were invited to apply, reflecting a slight increase from the previous draw. Similarly, candidates under the PhD Graduate Stream were selected with a minimum score of 50 points. Eligible profiles considered for these draws were created between July 9, 2023, and July 9, 2024.

Throughout the year, Ontario has demonstrated a robust commitment to welcoming skilled immigrants through the OINP, having invited a total of 28,275 candidates across various streams in 2024 alone. This consistent effort underscores Ontario’s proactive stance in attracting talented individuals who can contribute to the province’s economy and community.

The recent draws under Ontario’s Master’s Graduate and PhD Graduate streams highlight the province’s ongoing efforts to facilitate immigration for skilled graduates. With competitive minimum scores and a substantial number of ITAs issued, eligible candidates are encouraged to explore these opportunities under the OINP.

About the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is the provincial economic immigration program. It collaborates with the Government of Canada through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Foreign workers, international students, and other candidates with the necessary skills and experience can apply to the Ontario PNP for a nomination. The Ontario PNP selects and nominates applicants for permanent residency who possess the skills and expertise that the province’s economy requires. The government of Canada takes the final decision on whether to grant applications for permanent residence.
