SINP Application Processing Times 2024 updated

SINP Application Processing Times 2024

On January 12, 2024, SINP Application Processing Times 2024 was updated for various streams of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). The processing time is updated quarterly (every three months). It indicates the average time it took to process an application in that quarter. Time is measured in weeks for each category. Processing times can vary and are not always a reliable indicator of future applications.

The average processing time for 80% of applications is provided below. It is the time between when an application is first received and when it is finally processed. The fastest and slowest 10% of applications are considered outliers and are excluded from the average.

According to the new data, in the fourth quarter of 2023, in the International Skilled Worker category, the processing time for the Employment Offer stream was four weeks; in the Occupation In-Demand stream, it was 39 weeks; and in the Express Entry stream – 33 weeks.

The processing time for the Tech Talent Pathway and the Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot was three weeks.

In the Saskatchewan Experience category, the processing time for the Existing Work Permit and International Students streams was two weeks.

At the same time, it took one week to process applications under the Hospitality Workers and Health Professionals streams.

The province did not provide processing times for the Truck Drivers stream.

In the Entrepreneur and Farm category, the processing time for the Entrepreneur Applications was five weeks, while for the Entrepreneur Nominations, it was two weeks.

The Job Approval Process, the authorization for an employer to hire a foreign worker through the SINP, took four weeks.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

A set of immigration programs that enable foreign nationals to become permanent residents of Canada is known as the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The PNP is deliberately created to attract immigrants into professions where the province will profit, such as skilled labor, labor-shortage sectors, job offers, and entrepreneurship. Three categories comprise the multiple immigration streams that the province operates:

  • Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker
  • Saskatchewan Experience
  • Saskatchewan Entrepreneur and Farm
