latest PNP-targeted Express Entry draw on May 10, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 589 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in the fourth PNP-targeted draw of the year. 

In round #248, the cut-off score was 691 points, 57 points fewer than in the previous PNP-targeted Express Entry draw. The tie-breaking rule for this round was March 8, 2023, at 16:42:17 UTC. 

As of May 10, 2023, there were 225,388 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool, 4,801 fewer than the previous update. In 2023, Canada issued 45,148 invitations in six Express Entry draws.

Express Entry Proof Of Funds Updated

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have recently updated the Proof of Funds Requirements for Express Entry candidates. This change took effect on April 25, 2023. The minimum amount of needed funds is updated yearly and is based on 50% of the low-income cut-off totals. 

Ensuring that the settlement fund numbers in the Express Entry profile are current is essential to remain eligible. The new minimum amount of funds required are:

• for a single person applying for immigration is CAD 13,757
• while for a family of four, it is CAD 25,564.
