Ontario invited candidates under two streams of OINP on March 14, 2023, the Government of Ontario held new draws in the Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream (EJO IS) and Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream (EJO FW) of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). 

The province held two draws in the EJO IS Stream and issued 906 invitations to apply (ITAs) to eligible candidates working in the skilled trades, healthcare, and tech occupations. In addition, Ontario held another targeted draw of the OINP for candidates for the federal Economic Mobility Pathways Project (EMPP). 

In this draw, Ontario issued two targeted invitations to apply to candidates in the EOI pool who may be eligible for the federal EMPP under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream. In total, OINP issued invitations to 9,319 candidates in 2023.

Ontario issued 908 invitations and regulated the OINP Draw in two main streams. The table below includes information on the OINP Draw.

Only applicants with scores of 70 or higher and job offers in the following NOC occupations were awarded an ITA:

Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream 

International students with a job offer in a skilled occupation can apply to live and work permanently in Ontario through the Employer Job Offer: International Student stream. Your job offer must be for a skilled occupation in the National Occupational Classification’s TEER (Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibilities) categories 0, 1, 2 or 3. (NOC).  

Before submitting an online application to be nominated for permanent residence by the Ontario government, you must first register in the OINP’s Expression of Interest System and receive an invitation to apply.

 

Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream 

Foreign workers with a job offer in a skilled occupation can apply to live and work permanently in Ontario through the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream. Your job offer must be for a skilled occupation in the National Occupational Classification’s TEER (Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibilities) categories 0, 1, 2, or 3. (NOC). Foreign workers both inside and outside of Canada are eligible for this stream.

Before submitting an online application to be nominated for permanent residence by the Ontario government, you must first register in the OINP’s Expression of Interest System and receive an invitation to apply.
