Manitoba issued 308 invitations to skilled candidates under the MPNP on February 9, 2023, Manitoba held its fourth invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) this year. In round #168, the MPNP issued 221 LAAs in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 720 points, 6 points fewer than the previous draw.
In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, Manitoba issued 32 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 709 points, four points fewer than in the previous draw. In addition, 55 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream.
Manitoba has issued LAAs to 308 candidates, including 33 Express Entry candidates for this round. In 2023, MPNP invited 987 candidates, and 92 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.

Manitoba PNP CRS drops!
The Manitoba draws with low score requirements will continue with the EOI draw on February 9. On January 26, the prior EOI draw was placed.
Candidates from Manitoba’s skilled workers required a minimum of 726, and candidates from overseas skilled workers required a minimum of 713.
The reality that Manitoba has conducted back-to-back draws with higher ITAs and lower scores shows that the government intends to expand the number of candidates who are eligible to acquire a provincial nomination under MPNP-managed streams.
Skilled Workers Overseas stream
The Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) pathway suggests candidates who can prove they have a solid connection to Manitoba by:
- the help of family or friends
- prior education, prior employment in the province, or
- a direct Invitation to Apply from the MPNP as a part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative

The Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SWM) pathway suggests candidates who have a strong connection to our province through ongoing employment and enough knowledge of our official languages, as well as the skills needed, education, and training, work experience, and job experiences, to immediately and sustainable way make a contribution to the Manitoba economy and our community in general.
International Education Stream
The International Education Stream (IES) for Manitoba graduates aims to provide international students that graduate in Manitoba faster pathways to nomination while also meeting the requirements of the industry.
There are three pathways:
- Career Employment Pathway
- Graduate Internship Pathway
- International Student Entrepreneur Pilot (ISEP)
