The City of Greater Sudbury invited 62 candidates under the RNIP round of invitations

On September 1, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held the new RNIP round of invitations. In this round, Sudbury considered 62 candidates. 

The lowest score of these draws was 220 points, 20 points fewer than in the previous draw. 

So far, the city has considered 292 candidates in 2023. 

Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants. Since the program’s launch, the city has recommended at least 462 individuals under the RNIP.

Overview of Results of the RNIP round of invitations in 2023

On July 31, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 54 candidates, including one drawn through the Francophone Stream. The lowest score of these draws was 240 points, ten points lower than in the previous draw. 

On June 28, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 53 candidates. 

The lowest score of these draws was 250 points, ten points lower than in the previous draw.

On May 31, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 24 candidates. 

The lowest score of these draws was 260 points, the same as in the previous draw. Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants.

On February 23, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 25 candidates. The lowest score of these draws was 245 points, five points fewer than in the previous draw. 

All applicants had one eligible occupation and a wage over $20 per hour.

On March 29, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 27 candidates. The lowest score of these draws was 270 points, 25 points more than in the previous draw. Five of these candidates were drawn through the Francophone Stream. 

On January 26, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 24 candidates. 

The lowest score of these draws was 250 points, 70 points more than in the previous draw. 

 

About Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP)

The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) is an initiative driven by the local communities. By offering a path to permanent residency for highly talented foreign workers who wish to live and work in one of the participating communities, it aims to expand the benefits of economic immigration to smaller communities.
