Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Program

For people and families who wish to start, buy, or partner in a business in Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Program offers a path to Canadian immigration. The Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Program could be a good fit for you if you are passionate about the business opportunities in Saskatchewan.

An applicant can get a temporary work permit through the Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Program in order to start or buy a business in Saskatchewan and migrate there. The applicant may then submit an application for provincial nomination and subsequently for Canadian permanent residence status after the business has been operating successfully for six months.

What is the Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Category Process?

The following steps are involved in the Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Category process:

  • Submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the SINP.
  • Submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the SINP.
  • The EOI of a candidate is decided based on points. During each draw, the candidates with the most points are selected. The number selected is decided on the needs of the program.
  • Applications are processed in the order they are received after candidates are invited to submit them.
  • Establishment for business.
  • Nomination.

No application receives preferential treatment under the SINP. All applicants must fulfill the requirements of the program. The SINP does not sponsor any businesses or initiatives established in Saskatchewan.

What is the Expression of Interest (EOI) System?

The EOI is a signal of your interest in the SINP; it is not an application. By submitting information about your background, assets, and Business Establishment Plan, you can express interest in operating a business and residing in Saskatchewan (BEP).

  • Those who meet the criteria will be accepted to the EOI candidate pool.
  • EOIs are graded and ranked after they are sent using the Points Grid.

Before you submit your EOI, You must meet the entry requirements and finish the points assessment grid in order to submit an EOI to the SINP.
