Prince Edward Island invited 228 candidates in the 2nd PEI PNP Draw in 2023 on February 16, 2023, Prince Edward Island conducted a new invitation round in the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP). In the second round of this year, the province issued 222 invitations to apply to skilled workers in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams. 

 

PEI also invited six candidates to the Business Work Permit Entrepreneurs stream. The lowest score for business candidates was 70 points, eight points more than in the January draw. This year, PEI invited 451 candidates. According to the schedule, the next PEI PNP draw will occur on March 16, 2023.

What is Business Work Permit Entrepreneurs stream PEI?  

The Work Permit Stream of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program may be capable of nominating you for permanent residence if you’re thinking about moving there and want to invest in and run a business (PEI PNP). Foreign nationals with significant management experience or business ownership who want to settle in PEI to start their business and eventually become permanent residents should apply through this stream.

With the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program, people who want to manage and invest in Prince Edward Island businesses can benefit from the Work Permit stream of business immigration (PEI PNP).

 

Eligibility Requirements for the Stream 

Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible for the Work Permit Stream:

  • have a secondary education, or an equivalent, at a minimum;
  • having a history of employment or business ownership and transferable management skills;
  • be between the ages of 21 and 59 at the time of application;
  • meet the minimum language standards, which correspond to a level 4 on the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB);
  • To live and work in PEI; and To actively and continuously run the proposed business from PEI.

 

What is PEI PNP Express Entry?

Through the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program, you can apply for a PEI Express Entry nomination for permanent residence (PEI PNP). You will have a better chance of getting an Invitation to Apply from the federal government if you have been nominated through the PEI PNP.

 

Labour Impact Category – PEI PNP 

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Program provides a variety of Labour Impact pathways to skilled workers and new graduates who want to relocate permanently to PEI (PEI PNP).

These initiatives provide potential immigrants who have received an employment offer from a PEI employer the chance to benefit from an accelerated route to permanent residence. Three streams are included in the category of PEI labor impact:

  • PEI Skilled Workers
  • PEI Critical Worker
  • PEI International Graduate
