155 new BC PNP skilled candidates and tech professionals were invited on August 29, 2023. British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). To be eligible for an ITA, invited candidates needed CRS scores ranging from 60 to 88. This was British Columbia’s fifth Skills Immigration draw in August. The previous round of invitations was held on August 22nd, and ITAs were awarded to 230 Skilled Workers and International Graduates with a minimum score of 60.

Details of the invited BC PNP Skilled Candidates and Tech professionals in this Draw
British Columbia invited a total of 155 skilled candidates and tech professionals on August 29, 2023. The invited candidates draw, the number of invitations in a specific draw, and the minimum score required are explained below.
Tech-targeted draw
In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 102 invitations with a minimum score of 88 points. Streams invited are Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including the EEBC option)
Childcare-targeted draw
In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202), the province invited 28 candidates who scored 60 points. Streams invited are Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including the EEBC option)
Healthcare-targeted draw
In the Healthcare-targeted draw, the province issued 20 invitations. Streams invited are Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including the EEBC option)
Priority occupations invitations
Additionally, fewer than five invitations have been issued for other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104). Streams invited are Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including the EEBC option)
The province invited up to 155 candidates with a score of 60-88 points. Including this draw, in 2023, British Columbia has already issued 7,003 invitations.
BC PNP’s Skills Immigration Stream
British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) run by the province of British Columbia, contains a number of immigration streams referred to as British Columbia Skills Immigration. Workers and foreign graduates who have the skills, education, and/or experience necessary to effectively contribute to the BC economy may be nominated for permanent residence in Canada through the BC Skills Immigration programs.
The BC Skills Immigration program offers the following streams:

- BC Healthcare Professional
- BC International Graduate
- BC International Post-Graduate
- BC Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker
What are the eligibility criteria for BC Skilled worker immigration?
The growing economy of British Columbia requires talented and experienced workers. The Skilled Worker program allows workers in professional, management, technical, trade, or other skilled occupations to seek permanent residence in British Columbia.
To be eligible for this stream,
- You must have accepted a full-time, indefinite job offer from a B.C. business (the job offer cannot be temporary or have a set expiration date). A skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) is required.
- be qualified to fulfill the duties of the job.
- having two years of full-time (or full-time equivalent) experience in any skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3).
- Demonstrate your ability to support yourself and your dependents.
- Have legal immigration status in Canada or be eligible for it.
- Meet the minimal language requirements for NOC TEER 2 or 3 occupations.
- have a wage offer that is competitive with B.C. wage rates for the occupation.
