What is the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program?

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) is a program that seeks to address the province’s skilled labor shortages. This program seeks talented and experienced professionals and workers who are a suitable fit for Alberta’s labor market.

Alberta is known for its natural resources, fertile soils, mild climate, and quality of life – all of which are essential ingredients for an excellent quality of life. Alberta province has an extensive labor market with many opportunities for talented individuals looking to start or grow a business. The AAIP provides newcomers with the skills they need to be successful in Alberta, while also helping to build strong relationships between Albertans and foreign-born residents.

The AAIP was created in response to the need for skilled workers in Alberta’s economy. Since its inception, the AAIP has helped more than 2,500 families settle in Alberta. The program is available to individuals who meet the stringent requirements set by our government.

Why should you apply to the AAIP?

The Alberta Association of Independent Professional Counselors (AAIP) is a non-profit, independent professional counseling association that represents the interests of registered professional counselors in the province of Alberta. The AAIP was founded in 1985 and represents over 270 registered professional counselors.

The AAIP provides members with access to a variety of resources and services, including Continuing Education Credits for members’ continuing education programs, a member directory, and online resources. In addition, the AAIP provides funding for research projects and supports the development of counseling standards in Alberta. The AAIP also provides information on counseling services and resources available in the province.

Applicants who are interested in Alberta’s growing job market and attractive surroundings can benefit from a faster path to obtaining Canadian permanent residence through the AAIP. Obtaining an Alberta Provincial Nomination will increase your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) through the Express Entry System by 600 points.

How do I apply to the AAIP?

Alberta’s AAIP inventory is a valuable resource for environmental consultants and professionals in the oil and gas industry. The inventory was updated this year, adding more than 100 new reports. As explained above, there are four major streams for applying to the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program. Each stream has its own eligibility criteria, but all applicants require a security clearance, biometrics, federal clearance, and medical certificates.

 AAIP processing time

The processing time of each stream in the AAIP programs changes. Applications submitted through the AIP online portal take 4 to 6 months on average, while paper applications take 15 to 19 months.

The following are the most common factors considered in AAIP application processing:

  • Application quality (completeness, eligibility, outdated application information or documents)
  • Quantity of applications received
  • The application’s receipt date
  • Strategic priorities based on the labor market and economic development data
  • The number of nomination certificates that are still remaining for the year
